Acrylic Laser Cutting & Bending
Flame-polished edges and precision hot-slit bending for custom acrylic parts.
Premium Acrylic Fabrication
Acrylic (PMMA, also called Plexiglass) is a transparent thermoplastic known for its glass-like clarity, excellent light transmission and UV resistance. Our CO2 laser cutting process yields flame-polished edges on acrylic that require no secondary finishing, which makes it ideal for retail displays, signage and custom covers.
You can upload a 2D DXF, choose the acrylic colour and thickness, and see the instant price for cutting and bending — with an interactive 3D preview of the bent part.
CO2 Laser Cutting and Flame-Polished Edges
Acrylic is cut on our CO2 laser, which produces clean, polished edges as it cuts. Because the laser removes a narrow kerf, keep the same design rules as for other materials: closed loops that do not intersect. The design and quote page and glossary explain kerf and tolerance in more detail.

Hot Slit Bending for Acrylic
In addition to cutting, we offer hot slit bending for thermoplastics such as acrylic. A heated element softens the plastic along a narrow line so it can be folded to the required angle without cracking or clouding, and multiple bends per part are supported. The folding process can be previewed in 3D before production.
Engraving and Applications
Our CO2 laser also supports engraving and etching, so labels, logos and decorative detail can be added to acrylic parts. Common applications include:
- Signage, letters and retail display stands
- Point-of-sale displays and light guides
- Protective shields and decorative panels
- Custom covers and enclosures
If your design is better routed than laser-cut, see our MDF and plywood CNC routing service, or compare processes on laser cutting in India.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a flame-polished edge mean?
CO2 laser cutting melts the acrylic edge as it cuts, leaving a smooth, glossy edge that usually needs no extra finishing.
What acrylic thicknesses are available?
Acrylic is available in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm.
Can you bend acrylic as well as cut it?
Yes. We offer hot slit bending for acrylic, including multi-bend parts, with a 3D preview before production.
Can you engrave acrylic?
Yes. Our CO2 laser supports engraving and etching in addition to cutting.
